The protection of your personal data is particularly important to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of legal provisions (GDPR). In this privacy policy, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing on our website and the Fillr tool.

Fillr is designed so that your documents and the data they contain never reach our servers. All processing of your Word documents takes place exclusively locally in your web browser. Specifically, this means:

• Your uploaded documents are not transmitted to our servers
• Placeholder extraction happens entirely in your browser
• Your entered values are not sent to us
• The completed document is created locally on your device
• We never have access to the content of your documents

This architecture ensures maximum data protection, as sensitive data never leaves your computer.

Fillr uses your browser's LocalStorage feature to store certain data locally on your device. This includes:

• Saved values for placeholders (e.g., your address, company data)
• Saved document templates
• Your language preference

This data is stored exclusively locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. You can delete this data at any time by clearing your browser data/cache or manually removing the entries from LocalStorage.

Our website may display advertising banners from affiliate networks. We work with the following partners:

• Amazon Associates (Amazon EU S.à r.l.)
• AWIN AG
• Tradedoubler AB

When you click on an advertising banner, you will be redirected to the respective provider's website. The following data may be processed:

• Your IP address
• Date and time of the click
• Referrer information (that you came from fillr.net)
• An affiliate cookie to attribute any purchases

We do not store any personal data about ad clicks ourselves. We only collect anonymous, aggregated statistics (number of impressions and clicks per ad banner) without reference to individual users.

Processing by affiliate networks is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in financing our free service).

Fillr loads some JavaScript libraries from Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) to provide functionality:

• Mammoth.js (from Cloudflare CDN) - for processing Word documents
• JSZip (from Cloudflare CDN) - for ZIP processing of .docx files
• FileSaver.js (from Cloudflare CDN) - for file download

During these requests, the CDN provider (Cloudflare) may receive technical data such as your IP address. Cloudflare is subject to US data protection laws and has committed to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Our website is hosted on web servers that may automatically store certain technical data in so-called server logs:

• Your IP address (possibly anonymized)
• Date and time of access
• Requested page/file
• Referrer URL (the page you came from)
• Browser and operating system used

This data is required for the technical provision of the website and for security (e.g., detection of attacks). It is not merged with other data sources and is automatically deleted after a short time.

Fillr does not use its own tracking or analytics cookies. The only cookies possibly used are:

• Technically necessary session cookies from the web server (deleted when browser is closed)
• Affiliate cookies from advertising partners when clicking on ad banners (see section 4)

You can disable or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings.

Fillr deliberately does not use analytics or tracking tools such as Google Analytics, Matomo, or similar services. We do not collect statistics about your usage behavior and do not create user profiles. The only data collected is anonymous, aggregated click counts on advertising banners.

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to access: You can request information about the data we process
• Right to rectification: You can request correction of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure: You can request deletion of your data
• Right to restriction: You can request restriction of processing
• Right to data portability: You can receive your data in a common format
• Right to object: You can object to the processing of your data
